Oberman Teaches at Five CLE Seminars in 2014

In 2014, Jeff Oberman continues to teach other lawyers. As of the end of June, Jeff has presented at five Continuing Legal Education seminars, including the following:

  • February 21, 2014 –Minnesota Continuing Legal Education – “The Employment Law 60 – Non-Competes and Trade Secrets.”
  • February 27, 2014 – Minnesota State Bar Association Solo-Small Business Section – “Employment, Compensation and Business Protection Agreements: 10 Critical Mistakes Employers (& Their Lawyers) Must Avoid.”
  • May 19, 2014 – Minnesota Continuing Legal Education Employment Law Institute – “Hiring an Employee with a Non-Compete Agreement – Including the Latest Cases, Trends, Traps & Strategies.”
  • May 20, 2014 – Minnesota Continuing Legal Education Employment Law Institute – “Hot Spots in Restrictive Covenant Law and Practice.”
  • June 18, 2014 – Minnesota Continuing Legal Education Webcast – “Protecting Your Business From Departing Executives and Key Employees.”

Jeff has presented over 100 Continuing Legal Education seminars to employment and business lawyers on executive and other key employee agreements, non-compete, confidentiality and trade secrets, executive issues relating to mergers and acquisitions, executive and minority shareholder/partner issues, sales force issues, and other employment, discrimination, discipline and termination issues. In the last 10 years, he has presented 5-10 seminars per year on various executive law topics. In 2012, Jeff also authored a chapter on “Minnesota Employment Contracts” in the Minnesota Business Law Series publication Representing the Ongoing Business, which was published by MSBA/CLE, which is being updated in 2014.

Jeff is one of Minnesota’s most experienced non-compete, executive and employment lawyers, with 37 years of counseling and litigation experience.  In addition to large and small, public and private companies, he has represented executives, professionals, business owners and other key employees for most of his career.
