Oberman Thompson At 2014 Employment Law Institute


2014 marked another successful year at the Employment Law Institute for Oberman Thompson, LLC!

May 19th and 20th were packed with lots of action for the firm! We had a beautiful booth set up in the St. Paul RiverCenter where Gabor and Holloran networked with fellow lawyers, human resources specialists, government officials, and everyone in between.

Meanwhile, Jeff Oberman presented on a handful of topics while in attendance. On Monday, he presented on his popular topic, “Hiring an Employee with a Non-Compete Agreement – Including the Latest Cases, Trends, Traps and Strategies”. Then on Tuesday, Oberman sat on the panel, “Hot Spots in Restrictive Covenant Law and Practice”.

John Thompson made it to the stage three times while at 2014’s ELI. On Monday, Thompson moderated the discussion titled, “Workplace Violence Prevention – Or, Ensuring a Healthier Workforce”. Tuesday, Thompson presented twice on the topic, “8th Circuit Update” with his long-time associate Mr. Justin D. Cummins of Cummins & Cummins, LLP.

When Oberman & Thompson were not presenting, they listened in on many sessions and networked. The two long days of the Employment Law Institute proved to be both rewarding and enriching for everyone in attendance.

We can’t wait for 2015!
